More Than Just Pallets

A pallet is only half the equation. The right accessories can mean the difference between a load that arrives intact and one that shifts, falls, or sustains damage in transit. Our accessories catalog covers everything from basic stretch wrap to engineered void-fill solutions — all available alongside your pallet order for a true one-stop experience.

Accessories account for just 3–8% of a typical pallet load cost but can reduce product damage claims by 40–60%. That is an extraordinary return on investment, and it is why our accessories specialist Leander recommends every customer evaluate their current load securing practices against best-in-class standards.

Below you will find detailed specifications, pricing guidance, and usage tips for every accessory category we carry. If you need help selecting the right accessories for your operation, contact us — we are happy to review your current setup and suggest improvements.

Product Details

Pallet Collars

Hinged wooden frames that stack on top of standard pallets to create a collapsible bin. Perfect for loose items, produce, or parts storage. Fold flat when not in use.

sizes

48×40", 48×48", 800×1200mm (EUR)

material

Kiln-dried pine or spruce, galvanized steel hinges

height

7.5" per collar (stackable up to 6 high)

12–18 lbs per collar

load Capacity

Up to 1,650 lbs per stack (4 collars)

Pricing: $12–$18 per collar (new) | $6–$10 per collar (used)

Usage Tips

Always place collars on a flat, even pallet surface. Ensure the hinges lock fully into position before loading. For heavy or sharp-edged contents, use a liner sheet inside the collar stack to prevent punctures.

Top Frames / Caps

Rigid frames that sit on top of a pallet load to enable stable stacking. Protect the top layer of product and distribute the weight of stacked pallets evenly.

sizes

48×40", 48×48", custom sizes available

material

Plywood, HDPE plastic, or corrugated plastic

thickness

½" to ¾" plywood, 3mm–6mm corrugated plastic

weight

8–25 lbs depending on material

load Capacity

Up to 2,500 lbs distributed load per frame

Pricing: $8–$22 per frame (plywood) | $15–$35 per frame (plastic)

Usage Tips

Choose plywood frames for one-way use and maximum affordability. Plastic frames are better for multi-trip use — they are washable, lighter, and last 5–10x longer. Always ensure the frame sits flat on the load before stacking.

Corner Protectors

Cardboard, plastic, or foam protectors that shield pallet corners and edges during transit. Prevent strap damage and protect product packaging from compression and abrasion.

sizes

2"×2"×various lengths (12", 24", 36", 48")

material

Laminated cardboard, recycled HDPE, or EVA foam

thickness

3mm–6mm (cardboard), 8mm–15mm (foam)

weight

0.1–0.5 lbs per protector

load Capacity

Rated for strap tensions up to 500 lbs

Pricing: $0.15–$0.50 each (cardboard) | $0.75–$2.00 each (plastic)

Usage Tips

Use corner protectors on every strapped load — they cost pennies but prevent dollars of product damage. For heavy loads with high strap tension, upgrade from cardboard to plastic protectors to prevent crush-through. L-shaped protectors cover both edges simultaneously.

Anti-Slip Sheets

Textured paper or rubber sheets placed between layers to prevent load shifting. Available in various friction levels for different product types and box coatings.

sizes

48×40", 48×48", custom cut available

material

Kraft paper (silica-coated), recycled rubber, or textured HDPE

thickness

0.5mm (paper) to 3mm (rubber)

weight

0.2–1.5 lbs per sheet

load Capacity

Coefficient of friction: 0.5–0.8 (paper) | 0.8–1.2 (rubber)

Pricing: $0.25–$0.75 per sheet (paper) | $3–$8 per sheet (rubber)

Usage Tips

Paper anti-slip sheets are disposable and best for single-use applications. Rubber sheets are washable and reusable for 50+ cycles, making them more cost-effective for closed-loop systems. Place a sheet between every 2–3 layers for optimal load stability.

Stretch Wrap & Film

Industrial stretch wrap in various gauges for securing pallet loads. Machine-grade and hand-wrap options available. Clear, tinted, and UV-resistant formulations.

sizes

12", 15", 18", 20" widths (hand) | 20", 30" widths (machine)

material

Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)

thickness

60–120 gauge (hand) | 60–90 gauge (machine)

weight

6–12 lbs per roll (hand) | 25–45 lbs per roll (machine)

load Capacity

Pre-stretch up to 250% for machine-grade film

Pricing: $12–$22 per roll (hand) | $35–$70 per roll (machine)

Usage Tips

Machine-grade wrap is always more cost-effective at scale — it uses less material per pallet due to higher pre-stretch ratios. For outdoor storage, use UV-resistant black or opaque wrap to prevent sun damage. Apply at least 3 full wraps at the base of the load for maximum stability.

Dunnage & Void Fill

Airbags, foam blocks, and corrugated inserts to fill voids and prevent movement within pallet loads during transit. Protects fragile goods from shock, vibration, and compression.

sizes

Airbags: 24×36" to 48×48" | Foam: custom cut | Inserts: die-cut to spec

material

Polyethylene airbags, polyurethane foam, corrugated cardboard

thickness

Airbags inflate to 4"–8" | Foam: 1"–6" | Inserts: varies

weight

0.1–2 lbs per unit

load Capacity

Airbags: 2–8 PSI | Foam: various densities (1.5–6 lb/ft³)

Pricing: $1.50–$4.00 per airbag | $2–$10 per foam block | Custom inserts quoted per project

Usage Tips

Airbags are the fastest void-fill solution — they inflate in seconds with a hand pump or compressor. For temperature-sensitive goods, choose foam over airbags as foam provides thermal insulation. Always test dunnage with a sample shipment before committing to a large run.

* Pallet Collars on Nestable Plastic: Standard wooden pallet collars require a flat perimeter edge to seat properly. Many nestable plastic pallets have raised rims or tapered edges that prevent a flush fit. For plastic pallets, we recommend custom-fit collars or interlocking container systems designed specifically for the plastic pallet profile. Our accessories coordinator Prudence can help you find the right match.

Accessory Selection Tips

Match the Accessory to the Risk

High-value or fragile goods justify premium accessories like rubber anti-slip sheets and foam dunnage. For durable, low-value goods, basic cardboard corner protectors and stretch wrap may be sufficient. The goal is damage prevention that costs less than the damages it prevents.

Consider the Full Journey

A pallet load may be handled 8–12 times between origin and destination. Each handling event is a potential damage point. Accessories like corner protectors and anti-slip sheets should be selected based on the most demanding segment of the journey — not just the first leg.

Test Before Committing

Before ordering thousands of any accessory, request a sample quantity and test it with your actual products and handling process. What works in theory does not always work in practice. We provide sample quantities at production pricing so testing is affordable.

Calculate Cost Per Shipment

Add up the total accessory cost per pallet load and compare it to your average damage claim cost. If you are spending $2 in accessories and preventing $50 in average claims, the math is obvious. Logistics analyst Ophelia recommends this calculation as the starting point for every accessory decision.

Standardize Across Locations

If you operate multiple warehouses or facilities, standardize on the same accessories at every site. This simplifies training, reduces SKU count, and enables bulk purchasing discounts. Different sites using different methods leads to inconsistent load quality.

Review Annually

Product lines change, shipping routes evolve, and new accessories enter the market. Schedule an annual review of your pallet accessory program to ensure you are using the most effective and cost-efficient products available. We offer free annual consultations for ongoing customers.

Volume Pricing

All accessories are available at volume pricing. The more you order, the lower your per-unit cost. Here is a summary of pricing tiers for our most popular accessories.
